Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements before they will be considered for peer review. Authors are required to confirm each item prior to submission.

☐ Compliance with Author Guidelines
This submission fully complies with the journal’s Author Guidelines, including formatting, structure, and ethical requirements.

☐ Originality and Exclusive Submission
This manuscript has not been previously published, in whole or in part, and is not under consideration by another journal.

☐ Accuracy of References
All references have been checked for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and conform to the journal’s citation style.

☐ Tables and Figures
All tables and figures are:

  • Correctly numbered
  • Clearly labeled
  • Referred to appropriately within the text

☐ Permissions and Copyright
Written permission has been obtained to publish all photographs, figures, datasets, illustrations, or other third-party material included in this submission, where required.

☐ Manuscript Layout and Formatting
The manuscript is formatted using the required two-column page layout, in accordance with the journal’s formatting specifications.

1. Copyright Assignment

By agreeing to this contract, you, the original author and owner of the Work, transfer copyright ownership of your Work to the Journal for the purpose of publication. This transfer:

  • Applies to all forms of media, whether existing or future, in all languages worldwide, for the full duration of the copyright.

  • Allows the Journal to license these rights to third parties.

  • Becomes effective only upon acceptance for publication.

Note: You remain the original creator and owner of the Work. This agreement does not change your authorship or your status as the original owner.

2. Scholarly Communication Rights (Author Rights)

You retain certain rights as the original author, referred to as Author Rights, without requiring further permission from the Journal. These rights do not include patents, trademarks, or other intellectual property, which are separate from this agreement.

Your Author Rights allow you to:

  1. Use the Preprint, Accepted Manuscript, and Published Journal Article for personal purposes.

  2. Engage in Scholarly Sharing, including:

    • Sharing the Preprint on any website or repository at any time.

    • Sharing the Accepted Manuscript on certain websites, often after an embargo period.

    • Sharing the Published Journal Article privately on specified websites unless otherwise restricted by the Journal.

Restrictions:

  • Commercial use of the Accepted Manuscript or Published Journal Article is not allowed unless explicitly authorized by the Journal.

  • You may incorporate portions of the Work into subsequent publications or compilations (e.g., books or edited volumes), provided the original Journal publication is properly cited.

3. Ethics and Scholarly Integrity

By signing this agreement, you affirm that:

  • You are the original author and owner of the Work.

  • The Work is original and created solely by you.

  • The Work does not infringe on third-party copyrights or proprietary rights.

  • The Work is not under consideration by any other journal and has not been previously published.

The Journal reserves the right to withdraw or retract the Work if it is found to violate ethical standards or scholarly integrity.
